01. Intro

What Kind of Work Have I done?

Although my main focus in school is on Industrial Design, I have completed courses on graphic design. These courses used Illustrator and Photoshop to make compositions and posters. I have also used these programs to do digital illustrations and sketches.

Text Project

For this project we created a series of posters where I created composistions using basic shapes. The only rule for this project was for each set we weren’t allowed to move the text. This made creating interesting forms while still being able to read the text a difficult but interesting task.

Book Covers

This project involved figuring out not only interesting forms that had to be created using a grid, but I also needed to make interesting color combinations. Creating these book covers for Dr. Jekyl and Mr. Hyde was my first time working with color compositions.

Digital Sketches

Before 3D modeling and rendering a project I will bring my favorite sketches into Photoshop to clean up line work and add textures. These sketches were for a project where I had to design a toothbrush that looked like it was from The Flintstones. Here you can see the range of ideas I had and the final model.

Digital Illustration

A majority of the digital illustration work I’ve done has been restoring old artwork and logos as well as art for personal projects. These examples were made using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
